Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) is a diversified energy enterprise operating across Brazil, specializing in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electrical power. As of December 31, 2021, its substantial infrastructure included 70 hydroelectric, wind, and solar power plants boasting a combined installed capacity of 5,700 MW. The company's vast networks further comprised 339,086 miles of distribution lines and 4,449 miles of transmission lines. Beyond its primary electricity focus, Cemig is also involved in the procurement, transport, and delivery of natural gas and its byproducts.
