Established in 1866 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, DFDS A/S delivers a comprehensive range of logistics services, serving clients both within Denmark and globally. The company's operations are divided into two main segments: Ferry and Logistics. The Ferry division oversees numerous ferry routes throughout Europe, primarily facilitating the movement of freight, particularly trailers, as well as passengers. This segment also provides port terminal services. Its clientele is diverse, including freight forwarders, road transport operators, and manufacturers from sectors such as automotive, cold chain, consumer goods, retail, construction, waste management (refuse-derived fuel), forestry, metals, and chemicals. Additionally, this division offers leisure mini-cruises and caters to business and corporate events. The Logistics division offers an extensive suite of transport solutions, covering full and partial loads, specialized cargo, and multimodal transport options. It also provides contract logistics services, including warehousing. DFDS operates with a significant infrastructure that includes 24 ferry routes, a fleet of 55 ferries, 8 port terminals, and 9,000 trailer and container units.
